OPEN HOURS at the Moderate-Risk Waste Collection Facility:

  • Every Friday and 1st Saturday of each month
  • 10-4:30; closed Noon-12:30 for lunch
  • Closed public holidays

Recycle up to 10 fluorescent lights or CFLs per day for FREE! Includes residential and commercial generators.  Visit LightRecycle.org for more information.  Participating Jefferson County locations: Transfer Station, Quilcene Disposal Site, and Moderate Risk Waste Collection Facility.

Port Ludlow HHW Collection Event a success!

Thank you to 120 participants in April’s HHW Collection Event!  The Port Ludlow event collected 3/4 ton of oil paints/solvents; 650 Lbs. pesticides; 225 Lbs. of aerosol cans; 150 lbs of old gasoline, and more for a total of 2,791 pounds of pollution potential diverted from our trash stream.  Of that total, 44% were recycled or diverted for energy recovery.
