Notice – May 28 SWAC Meeting Cancelled
Due to COVID-19, the regular SWAC meeting scheduled for May 28, 2020 has been cancelled.
“To assist in the development of programs and policies concerning solid waste handling and disposal and to review and comment upon proposed rules, policies, or ordinances prior to adoption.”
The Solid Waste Advisory Committee is made up of volunteer citizens and representatives from related businesses. Each of the three Commissioner’s districts (see map) is represented by advisory board members. SWAC meetings are open to the public and are held six times per year, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Jefferson County Department of Public Works conference room at 623 Sheridan Street, Port Townsend.
We would like to hear your thoughts on how the County’s Solid Waste program could be improved. Please join the conversation at any of the SWAC meetings held throughout the year.
